The "Global Bio Conference 2017 (GBC 2017)" took place from June. 26 to 30 at Intercontinental Seoul COEX Hotel.

The Global Bio Conference is an annual event hosted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) for fostering biopharmaceutical industry and supporting global market access.

The conference offered lectures to cover a variety of topics such as, vaccines, blood products, DNA recombinant products, cell & gene therapy products, human tissues, GMP, biostatistics, and cosmetics. Also special events took a place together such as PIC/S Expert Circle Meeting, WHO PQ 1:1 meeting and 1:1 meeting with regulators of NRA.

Over 2,000 domestic and foreign experts visited the conference and discussed the role of the biopharmaceutical industry in leading the fourth industrial revolution. The conference became a chance to intensify global competitiveness of the biopharmaceutical industry and cooperation between international regulatory authorities.
